Tashkent and Chimgan Weekend

Tashkent
Tour Overview

A two-day city-and-nature break combining Tashkent’s old quarter, market and metro with the mountain air of Chimgan and panoramic views over Charvak Reservoir. It works well as a weekend extension before or after a longer Silk Road tour.

Tour Plan

Meet your guide at the hotel and begin the tour. Explore the old city, including the Khast-Imam complex, Barak-Khan Madrasa and Chorsu Bazaar. See Independence Square, Amir Timur Square, Broadway and the city’s modern avenues. Ride the Tashkent Metro and visit several of its most beautiful decorated stations.

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive from Tashkent into the Western Tien Shan mountains. Ride the cable car at Amirsoy, weather and operating schedule permitting. Stop at Charvak Reservoir for panoramic views and a lakeside lunch. Take an easy guided walk in the Chimgan foothills, adapted to the group’s fitness level. Return to Tashkent in the late afternoon and transfer to the hotel.
